Many of the label’s releases, however obscure, are hailed as fine examples of 1970s Post-Bop, Spiritual Jazz, and Afro-Jazz. On the Madlib album Yesterdays Universe, there is a tribute song to Strata-East, entitled “Two for Strata-East”.
