YIKES the ZERO, Hip-hop MC/Producer out of Philadelphia, PA drops a full length album titled “A Kid and His Monsters”. The album showcases YIKE’s distinct voice and wordplay with villain/comic book like production. The sound is reminiscent of 92′-94′ hip hop  style with a progressive approach; sort of like jeep beats steez for 2013. The sound is very rich and and original and the production allows your ear to find something new on the replay. Make sure to give it a listen and tell your friends about Yikes the zero.

Multi-Dimension is the embodied imagination of who Prof.Logik is through the form of sounds.

Prof.Logik said us about his new album :

“This project was a therapeutic journey while I sat down in the lab constructing the tunes heard here on this release. Multi-Dimensions to me is simply a conversation to your ears and mind… Since i’m a man of few words this project is my way of communicating with you all the listeners. Music is vital in Life.”

A trip through the musical catalog of Prof.Logik is like an extended trip back home to the community you grew up in. It may seem like a strange way to describe someone’s productions at first, until you experience the atmosphere, nostalgia, and melancholy of his music and beats. Listen carefully and enjoy!

Prof.Logik is 27 year old Gregory Grant; a born and raised south-side Jamaica Queens, New York progressive hip-hop producer currently residing in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. Despite being a self-described “yank“, the professor’s music clearly has southern and international influences throughout.

Jonti is the newest artist on Stones Throw, with a 45 released today – Firework Spraying Moon – and his album Twirligig coming in October.

From the artist: “Sine N’ Moon is a collection of songs I made before i started to work on Twirligig.  It starts with the first song i ever recorded called ’Saturday Night Songs’. While Gathering around a 4-track on a Saturday night  doesn’t exactly paint the perfect adolescence out of a Skins script (Ukulele solo’s don’t help either) It does show the role and beautiful friendship I’ve had with music since i left South Africa.
